Traction capability is one reason to consider a Jeep® vehicle. The Freedom Drive II® 4-wheel drive system ensures that the power and torque of the engine are transferred appropriately. Off-roading can be challenging, so always use common sense with safety being the foremost concern.

Off-roading is all about uneven terrain. Articulation is the built-in flexibility of a vehicle to keep wheels of the same axle in contact with uneven ground. Traction makes sure usable power delivered to all four wheels keeps a vehicle moving forward. Before you enter uneven terrain, always plan a route that will keep the vehicle level.
